💜We extend our deepest gratitude to all past and present military members for their service to our nation. 💜

November 13th was World Kindness Day and we celebrated throughout the district. Participating in World Kindness Day is a simple yet impactful way to make a positive difference in the world.
💜 2nd & 3rd graders went to the school forest to read books together in the hammocks.
💜Mrs. Nyseth's students wrote encouraging notes to other people & walked around the school picking up trash.
💜OT was tracing stencils and cutting out the shape are great activities to strengthen the muscles of the hands AND the eyes! Today our OT friends will hide their kind notes in library books.
💜Mrs. Peterson’s third grader delivered a surprise and visited Mrs. Sorli’s second graders to do puzzle time. Students worked together showing patience and kindness to each other.
Kindness was “spread” throughout ECSD!

💜Spread Positivity: Share uplifting and positive messages on social media to inspire others to be kind and compassionate.
💜Volunteer: Offer your time to volunteer for a local charity or nonprofit organization that aligns with your values.
💜Donate: Donate to a charitable cause that you believe in, whether it’s for humanitarian aid, education, or healthcare.
💜Teach Kindness: Educate children and young people about the importance of kindness and empathy through storytelling or classroom activities.
💜Random Acts of Kindness: Surprise someone with a random act of kindness, such as buying a stranger’s coffee or leaving an encouraging note for a friend.

Mrs Zierl’s kindergarten class has been in writing officer training learning how to patrol their sentences. After they write, they put on their hats and patrol for capital letters, spaces between words, and punctuation. After lots of hard work, they have graduated patrol training and are set to edit their writing.

We're thrilled to share some incredible news about our amazing EES Student Council! 🙌✨ They organized a heartwarming food drive with the goal of supporting those in need in our community. 🥫🍎
We are overjoyed to announce that our dedicated students, with your generous contributions, were able to donate a whopping 418 pounds of food! 🎉🥳 This is a testament to the spirit of kindness and compassion that thrives within our school.
A huge shoutout to every student, teacher, and parent who contributed to this initiative. Your generosity is making a significant impact on the lives of those who may be facing food insecurity. 💖👏

More Red Ribbon Week fun at EES!!

Did you know our public library has lots of amazing programs for kids and teens? Check them out here: https://ellsworthlibrary.org/calendar/

Our 4th graders had a blast at the After School Art Club, thanks to the amazing after-school grant that ECSD received!
These young artists unleashed their creativity, crafting adorable scarecrows and snowmen. The room was filled with laughter, colorful paints, and endless imagination!
It's heartwarming to see how initiatives like this grant can allow our students to explore their artistic talents outside the regular curriculum.
