🎉Congratulations to our EES Students of the Month for Cooperation! 🎉
These Panthers were recognized for showing great teamwork, kindness, and the ability to work well with others — way to go! 💜
To celebrate, students enjoyed a fun afternoon focused on character education, where they dove into this month's theme: Honesty. Great discussions, big ideas, and lots of learning!
A big shoutout to Louie, our March Top Dog, for setting a PAW-sitive example all month long! 🐶
🏅And let's hear it for our PE Students of the Month — 4 students who showed amazing effort, sportsmanship, and Panther Pride in physical education!
Keep up the great work, Panthers! 💜🖤

🐾🐱 Panther Pride in Action! 🐱🐾
Ellsworth High School students Gavin Ricke and Katie Groen are putting their hearts into their capstone service project—and they need YOUR help! 💜
They’ve created an Amazon Wish List filled with cat toys, cleaning supplies, and other much-needed items to support Falcon Felines, a compassionate group at UW-River Falls that cares for stray cats on campus.
Their goal? To collect enough donations to make a real impact for these furry friends and the volunteers who care for them.
Every item donated helps make a difference!
Let’s come together as a community to support Gavin and Katie’s awesome project and help Falcon Felines continue their important work!

On Thursday, March 27, our 8th-grade students had the powerful opportunity to hear from Elly Sternberg, the granddaughter of two Holocaust survivors. Elly shared the story of her grandparents, Esther and Berek Latarus-Polish Jews from Lodz, Poland, who both survived the Lodz Ghetto and were later transported to the Auschwitz concentration camp.
This impactful presentation was made possible thanks to the support of the Ellsworth Middle School Parents’ Club and the ongoing efforts of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas.

🩸anthers Making a Difference! 🩸
Back in March, EHS hosted a blood drive for the American Red Cross, and our community stepped up in a big way! In just 5 hours, we saw 68 total donors and collected 62 units of blood—including 11 Power Red units, which are the most critically needed blood types.
When separated into three components, these donations have the potential to help up to 186 patients in need! ❤️
A special shoutout to the 12 first-time donors—thank you for taking that first step to make an impact!

Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, second graders get a special visitor—Mark Smith, Mrs. Paul’s dad—who joins the class for some cribbage fun! 🏆
Through this classic game, students boost their math fluency while enjoying friendly competition and strategy. What a fantastic way to make learning engaging and interactive! 🎉
Thank you, Mark, for your time and dedication to our students!
