Last Tuesday EHS held their annual Day of Service. All 9th, 10th and 12th graders reported to 34 sites in the community and surrounding areas. Some of the sites included Camp Pepin, Pierce County Fairgrounds, Habitat for Humanity, Elsie’s Barnyard, and highway clean up. A number of students also worked with community members on service learning capstone projects and helped with garbage clean up. Some painted benches at Summit Park while others worked on the ballfields at Brown Field in Hager City. We are so grateful to all of our community partners for their help with projects and encouraging our students in making connections and learning new skills!

💜 On Tuesday, our 9th, 10th, and 12th graders took part in a Day of Service across the community. Our 5th graders from EES didn’t want to miss out on the chance to help, so they joined in too!

🧹 Each 5th grade class headed to different spots around town with some high school helpers to pick up trash and give back. What an awesome way for our youngest Panthers to be part of Service Learning Day and show Panther Pride in the community! 🐾. Thank you 5th graders and teachers for your help!!!

We want to thank our students, staff, families, and community members for your patience as we followed due process in our investigation regarding a social media post made by an employee. The investigation is now complete, and this will be our final comment on the matter.

We want to be clear: the post in question does not reflect the mission, values, or beliefs of the Ellsworth Community School District. Any suggestion otherwise is simply not accurate.

We recognize that there is a range of perspectives regarding how situations like this should be handled. While we uphold the right to free speech, we also recognize that this right comes with responsibilities—especially when it affects the learning environment or disrupts the safe, respectful atmosphere we are committed to maintaining in our schools.

At the heart of every decision we make is one core priority: our students. Their well-being, safety, and success are the reasons we are here and will always guide our actions.

Thank you for your continued support of our school community.

🚌✏️ Kindergarten has been BUS-y in Ms. Heitman’s class! B is for BUS, and their week was filled with fun learning. They read books about buses, explored shapes, and even combined the two at snack time making their own delicious “bus” creations out of shapes. 🚍

Way to go, kindergarteners! 💜 #PantherPride
