Mrs. Matzek's Vocational Family & Consumer Science students have had some sweet days in the kitchen making sugar cookies🎄🍪✨
From measuring and mixing to baking and frosting, students worked together to make (and decorate!) delicious sugar cookies while building real-world skills like teamwork, following recipes, kitchen safety, and creativity.
Learning is even better when you can enjoy the results—great job, everyone!

📸 Catching up on photos from before winter break was dismissed!
We had so much fun happening in our buildings, and we’re excited to finally start sharing it all. There was a lot of joy, creativity, and school spirit packed into those last days before break.
At Ellsworth High School, students wrapped things up with a Holiday Fest filled with fun games and an ugly sweater contest that did not disappoint 🎄😄
Thanks for your patience as we catch up. More fun photos coming your way!

🌱 Big news for Ellsworth and it all started with our students! 🌱
At the Ellsworth High School Holiday Pep Fest on 12/23, we were excited to share that the Village of Ellsworth has been awarded a $25,000 Urban Forestry Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
This milestone began as a student-led idea. As part of their Capstone Project, students Cameron Lutfi, Thomas Helseth, Milan Johnson, Max Olson, and Jacob Michels presented to the Village Board earlier this year with a vision for Ellsworth to place a stronger focus on trees, sustainability, and becoming a Tree City USA community. They shared how trees contribute to the health, beauty, and long-term vitality of a community, and their work helped spark the decision to apply for this grant.
The funding will support the development of an urban forestry program, helping Ellsworth grow in thoughtful and sustainable ways for years to come.
A huge thank you to these students for their leadership, research, and willingness to speak up. This is a great example of how local leadership can start at any age. We’re proud of you and excited for what’s ahead for Ellsworth! 👏🌳

❄️ This week, high school students were greeted with a fun surprise when they walked through the doors. An indoor igloo!
Students could sign up to make indoor s’mores with our new principal, Ms. Burch. It was a great way to connect, share some laughs, and wrap up the week heading into winter break. 🔥🍫🏔️

Talk about being good sports! 😄✨
At EMS, we celebrated WinterFest today before kicking off our holiday break, and one group of 8th grade girls had a very creative way to spread some school spirit. They bedazzled Principal Morrison, band director Mr. Morley, and our new PE teacher Mr. Campbell.
Thanks to these three for being such great sports and helping make WinterFest a memorable way to wrap up the year! 💜❄️
