Exciting News for Ellsworth Middle School!
We are thrilled to announce that Ellsworth Middle School has partnered with the Minnesota Timberwolves for their “Get Fit” Program! This fantastic initiative encourages our youth to stay active and play every day outside of school.
Here’s how it works: students earn points for every 15 minutes of movement. This can include a variety of everyday activities, such as playing at the playground, shoveling snow, or even walking your dog! If you accumulate 25 points or more, you will receive a complimentary ticket to a Timberwolves game this season!
If you're interested in participating in the GET FIT program, please pick up an information sheet from the office. Forms are limited, so act fast! Return completed form to Hutch or the office.
For more details, check out the Timberwolves’ official page: https://www.nba.com/timberwolves/getfit
Let’s get moving, Ellsworth! 🏀💪

🍎🍏 Mrs. Foley’s kindergarten class had a blast with real apples last week! 🤩 We balanced them on our heads, built apple towers, and even designed creative baskets to hold our apples! 🧺✨
Learning and having fun at the same time? Absolutely! 🙌 These little Panthers are full of creativity and excitement! 🎨🍎

📚🎉 Congrats to these amazing students who met the EES Summer Reading Challenge and won some awesome prizes! 🏆🎁
All students who turned in their reading challenge sheets earned Panther Tickets 🎟️ and stickers 🏅, plus they got to choose a brand-new book from a fantastic selection! Some of the favorites included Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dork Diaries, and I Survived. 📖✨
Way to go, students! 👏 We encourage ALL Ellsworth students to find time to read every day! 📚❤️

Our 1st graders took a trip back in time all the way to the 1800s! 🕰️
After learning how life and families have changed over time, we spent the day pretending we lived long ago! 😍✨ From walking to and from school 🚶♂️🚶♀️, writing with chalk ✏️ on slate boards, bringing lunch in pails , to learning songs and games from the past 🎶🎲, it was an unforgettable experience!
Our young historians had so much fun stepping into the shoes of children from long ago! 📚

🎉 Exciting News for ECSD! 🎉
Over the past year, a dedicated committee of 12 community members and staff, along with our student coordinator, has worked hard to design an ECSD Hall of Fame program! 🏆 This program will honor distinguished Ellsworth alumni, retired or deceased ECSD staff, and community members who have shown incredible support for our district. 💜📚
The Ellsworth School Board has given its blessing, and we’re thrilled to announce that the inaugural class will be inducted in early 2025! 🎓✨ Starting now, the committee will open an annual call for nominations, with the first group being honored in March 2025 during a special event. 📅 The inductees will also be featured in both print and digital materials displayed at ECSD locations! 🖼️
We are now accepting nominations for inductees! 🎉 If you know someone deserving of this honor, we invite you to submit a nomination. 💌 All the details can be found on the school website here: 👇
https://www.ellsworth.k12.wi.us/page/hall-of-fame
Please help us spread the word by sharing this information with community members, parents, and anyone who has moved away but might know of a great nominee! 🗣️ Let's make sure this reaches as many people as possible. 🏫 Nominations will also be available at school events, sports programs, and more. The nomination period closes on Dec. 31st, 2024. 🗓️
