They did a great job!

Join us to celebrate the work we've done in our community for Rock the Block. The event is free to everyone in the community and will feature Ellsworth High School alumni Christina Kowalchyk.

ROCK THE BLOCK: ELEVATE ELLSWORTH
Friday, September 29-Sunday, October 1
In collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, the Village of Ellsworth, and Ellsworth High School, we invite you to take part in Rock the Block: Elevate Ellsworth. A neighborhood revitalization event where volunteers will tackle exterior projects on several Ellsworth homes.
This initiative is only possible with lots of volunteer help! A BIG thank you to those who have signed up to volunteer already! After reviewing each project, here's the latest on our volunteer needs from Habitat for Humanity:
Friday, September 29: 20 more volunteers needed!
Saturday, September 30: 30 more volunteers needed!
Sunday, October 1: 15 more volunteers needed!
No special skills are needed. There will be a crew leader for each project site and Habitat for Humanity supplies all equipment and materials – but people are welcome to bring along rakes, etc. if it pertains to their project. Early next week, volunteers will receive an email with details about the project they’re working on.
Everyone who volunteers will receive a long-sleeved volunteer t-shirt, refreshments, and will be celebrated at the Rock the Block: Elevate Ellsworth Picnic (see below).
Registering to volunteering is easy using the link below! Take part as an individual, with coworkers, or as a family!

Day of Service
The EHS Day of Service is coming up on September 27th! This is a fun day that has all 9th, 10th, and 12th graders going to a service work site for the morning from 8:30-11:30. This is a way to pitch in and help our community! Juniors take the practice ACT and then the entire school has a picnic lunch together to celebrate the work they have done. Please see the attached Passive Consent and note that any student who has an appointment and will need to leave during the morning or lunch period needs to have this prearranged. Students cannot be pulled from this event the day of unless it is an emergency, so please let the school know ahead of time if there is an appointment.
Things to note:
💜Students are encouraged to wear purple T-shirts and old clothes. Please wear things you are OK getting dirty. Students will be painting and doing yard work at many sites.
💜Don’t wear new white shoes!
💜Work gloves and sunscreen may also be advisable if you have them.
💜Bring a water bottle.

Buttons are now for sale in the High School office during school hours if you missed ordering them with the Panthers Den gear. Buttons will also be for sale in the Panthers Den during home events.
They are $2.00 each. Each button is numbered, at half-time of the Homecoming game on October 6th we will draw for cash prizes.
Proceeds go to help keep Homecoming activities running in our district, as this is not a budgeted activity.
Thank you for supporting our mission to keep Homecoming events going in our schools and community. Also a BIG THANK YOU to Kayleen Jakes from Brush Strokes for making all the buttons for us :)

OT tips to go from Katelyn!
Want to help boost writing skills at home without making it feel like homework? Pull out some Play-Doh (or pipe cleaners, or slime, or line up some beads) and ask your student to describe the highlight of their day in one word… but they have to write it with Play-Doh!
Not only does this support letter formation and spelling, but it builds fine motor skills and hand strength. Plus it’s a fun sensory activity that will help calm your student’s body and explore the world around them.
