🏆 Happy National Coaches Day! 🏆
Today, we want to take a moment to celebrate and express our gratitude for the incredible coaches we have right here at ECSD. We are truly fortunate to have such dedicated and inspirational leaders guiding our athletes to success.
While there are so many amazing coaches in our Ellsworth community, let's take a trip down memory lane and share our favorite coach from our time at Ellsworth. 🕰️
Share your favorite coach and a special memory or lesson they imparted to you. Let's give our coaches the recognition they deserve on this National Coaches Day! 🙌
Tag your favorite coach and let them know how much they mean to you! 📣

57 EHS students were able to attend the 3rd annual Build My Future Wisconsin event in Glenwood City. Build My Future is a hands-on exploration of construction-related careers.
Build My Future Wisconsin gives students the opportunity to spend a day in the Construction Industry through a hands-on interactive showcase. We welcome your students for approximately two and a half hours of activities provided by our industry partners. Student activities include educational displays, equipment operations, and learning labs.

🌟 Happy School Custodian Appreciation Day! 🌟
Today, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible crew of custodians who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our schools running smoothly. 🧹🏫
From the spotless hallways to the well-maintained classrooms, you make our learning environment safe, clean, and welcoming. Your dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed!
Let's all take a moment to thank our incredible custodial team for all they do. Feel free to leave your messages of appreciation and gratitude in the comments below, or simply give them a friendly wave or a "thank you" when you see them in the hallways. 💜

ECSD students benefit every day from the leadership and vision of our school board. Oct. 1-7 is Wisconsin School Board Week so take time to thank these dedicated school leaders.

After learning about "Life Long Ago" the First Graders spent a day pretending they lived in the 1800s. They used chalkboards and chalk to complete their work, played games like marbles, jacks, and hopscotch, sang songs like Farmer in the Dell, brought their lunch to school in a bucket, and some even dressed the part! What a fun way to experience a bit of what life was like in the past!

It’s no secret that vaping is on the rise, especially among teenagers. Tobacco companies specifically targeted their advertisements toward youth, and despite not knowing what the long term effects might be, many young people in our community have been impacted. As a school district, we want to do all that we can to support students in making healthy lifestyle decisions.
We have two staff members, Jill Hutcheson and Nancy Huntley, who have been trained in vaping education courses through the American Lung Association. Over the course of this school year, Jill and Nancy will be offering small group opportunities during the school day for interested students. Please see the program descriptions below, and contact either Nancy or Jill with questions.
If you are concerned about your child’s use or potential vulnerability to using tobacco or other drug products, there are links below with additional information about the program and a sign-up to participate in one of the small group opportunities. We will also be sending this information out to all middle and high school students to gauge their interest.
