📚✏️ Back-to-School is almost here, and we can’t wait to welcome our students and families! 🎒💜
Our Open Houses are just around the corner - check out the details below to see when your child’s school is hosting theirs. It’s a great chance to meet teachers, see classrooms, and get ready for an amazing school year! 🙌
Note: MS/HS students will NOT have access to their lockers.

Dear EHS Students and Families
The recent storms brought some unexpected challenges to our construction progress, and as a result, we need to move our open house back by one week. Instead of Tuesday, August 18th from 4:00-7:30 PM, the open house will now be held on Tuesday, August 26th from 4:00-7:30 PM. We will conduct New Student/ Freshman Orientation Activities during the school day on August 26th.
I know this change may be disappointing, but please know that our goal is to ensure the building is safe and fully ready to welcome you. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this adjustment.
I'm confident that when you do walk through the doors, you'll see the results have been worth the wait. Thank you for your continued support of our school community-we look forward to seeing you on the 26th!
Warmly,
Ms. Marcy Burch
Principal

🩺🧪 Future healthcare heroes in action!
Several EHS students recently attended the CVTC Medical Simulation Camp and it was intense (in the best way)! Over the course of the camp, they:
💉 Learned how to draw blood, start IVs, and perform IOs
🫁 Practiced intubating patients
🚑 Took part in a 2-hour emergency room simulation with real nurses, where their patient coded multiple times
❤️ Got CPR certified
The instructor said this group, which also included two students from Prescott, was amazing. They stayed focused, worked well as a team, and represented EHS proudly!
Oh, and the perks? 😎
🎁 Tons of swag
🎧 A stethoscope
🎓 A $500 scholarship to take a course at CVTC in any field!
We were thrilled to have our new high school principal, Mrs. Burch, there to cheer them on as they received their certificates. She loved seeing what they were up and they were just as excited to meet her! 💜
Big thanks to Mrs. Lesiecki and Ms. Wiskow for chaperoning and snapping some great photos of our students in action.

☕ Big things are brewing in the FACS room!
FACS teachers Sarah Johnson and Alyssa Matzek, along with retired (and still incredibly helpful!) middle school principal Tim Conway, spent three days at Mill City Roasters learning the ins and outs of coffee bean roasting. They’re gearing up for the arrival of a brand-new bean roaster that will be installed right in the FACS room at EHS!
This hands-on experience even included a tour of Café Imports, where green coffee beans arrive in Minneapolis for distribution to roasters across the region.
The best part? Roasting and selling coffee beans will soon become a student-run enterprise as part of the FACS curriculum. All three are excited to start roasting this fall. Stay tuned for a brand new EHS coffee bean coming your way! ☕💜 #PantherPride

We are thrilled to announce the induction of our outstanding students into the National Honor Society!
Here's to your bright futures! 🏅📚

🔥🔬 S’mores and science? Yes, please!

Let's cheer on our Panthers as they cross the stage! 💜🖤

Due to construction at the high school, our parking is going to be different than in past years as the back parking lot is not able to
be used. However, there are options for parking at the elementary school, bus garage and surrounding streets.
● We are asking those who are able to please carpool.
● If you have people with mobility issues, they should be dropped off at the main entrance of the building.
● The two main entrances are starred on the map below (one in the front and one in the back).
● Those parking in the lot by the football field or at the front lot of the elementary school should look for the entrance signs for the
lower athletic doors.
● Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. (all spectators over the age of 2 MUST have a ticket to enter for the ceremony).

🌍🍛 Mrs. Johnson's International Foods class took a tasty field trip to Punjabi Rasoi in Baldwin last week!
Students had the chance to explore Indian cuisine, try new dishes, and experience a different culture through food—and the verdict? They all agreed they liked it! 🙌
We love seeing students step out of their comfort zones and try something new. Great job, Panthers! 💜

🎉 EHS held its Service Learning Awards Banquet to recognize students who went above and beyond in giving back to our schools and community.
Students earned their service learning letter or bar through meaningful projects like The Panther Closet, Experience Ellsworth, Tennis Clinics, Basketball Camp, an Eagle Scout Project at Cairns Woods, and many more!
👏 Congratulations to all of these students—and thank you for the time, heart, and energy you put into making a difference. We're proud of the impact you’re making! 💜

🗝️📜 Mrs. Traynor’s English 9 students took on the Escape Verona-Room challenge!
As an introduction to Romeo and Juliet, students explored the world of William Shakespeare, Elizabethan England, and Archaic Vocabulary. They worked individually and with partners to solve puzzles and unlock clues based on today's classroom readings.
The first three teams to "escape" each block had their photos taken with fun, themed props and got to choose a prize from the classroom prize jar!
Summer may be just around the corner, but the learning (and fun) continues in English 9! 📖
