Help protect your children -- and their classmates -- when they're under the weather so that they can return to the classroom healthy and ready to learn. When your child is sick the best thing you can do is to keep your children home when sick. This will help stop the spread of illness to other children and teachers. Keep them home when they show any of these symptoms: fever of 100 degrees F or higher nausea or vomiting severe headache diarrhea red, watery eyes with yellow or green drainage undiagnosed rash Children should stay home until they have been naturally without fever for at least 24 hours. Please do not give children fever-reducing medication and then send them to school.

EHS celebrated International Week last week. They had a door decorating contest, daily trivia, and find the flag hunt. Each day they highlighted a country connected to one of our students, including our exchange students from Spain and Sweden. Here is a photo of the flag winners for today. Emma Eagan and Adam Capatske found the flag. (Adam has found it three of the four days). They also ran a soccer tournament for International Week! On Tuesday, the freshman beat the sophomores, on Wednesday the juniors beat the seniors, on Thursday the freshman beat the juniors, and then on Friday the staff team beat the freshman! Here is the folder with the team pictures. Nolan Kummer was our ref throughout all four games!

November 13th was World Kindness Day and we celebrated throughout the district. Participating in World Kindness Day is a simple yet impactful way to make a positive difference in the world. πŸ’œ 2nd & 3rd graders went to the school forest to read books together in the hammocks. πŸ’œMrs. Nyseth's students wrote encouraging notes to other people & walked around the school picking up trash. πŸ’œOT was tracing stencils and cutting out the shape are great activities to strengthen the muscles of the hands AND the eyes! Today our OT friends will hide their kind notes in library books. πŸ’œMrs. Peterson’s third grader delivered a surprise and visited Mrs. Sorli’s second graders to do puzzle time. Students worked together showing patience and kindness to each other. Kindness was β€œspread” throughout ECSD!
