Ellsworth Community School District - Child Development Screening
The Ellsworth Community School District will hold a child development screening (ages 3, 4 & 5 years old) day on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Ellsworth Elementary School. The screening will be held from 10:00am - 4:00pm.
This is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn about your child’s development in speech/language, gross motor, fine motor and play skills. During the screening your child will participate in a playgroup where social, communication, motor and early learning skills will be observed. In addition, your child’s vision and hearing will be screened.
Appointments are required. For an appointment or if you have questions please call Tina Hallock at 715-273-3912 or hallockt@ellsworth.k12.wi.us.
Future screening dates:
January 24, 2024
February 28, 2024
March 20, 2024
April 24, 2024

Help protect your children -- and their classmates -- when they're under the weather so that they can return to the classroom healthy and ready to learn.
When your child is sick
The best thing you can do is to keep your children home when sick. This will help stop the spread of illness to other children and teachers. Keep them home when they show any of these symptoms:
fever of 100 degrees F or higher
nausea or vomiting
severe headache
diarrhea
red, watery eyes with yellow or green drainage
undiagnosed rash
Children should stay home until they have been naturally without fever for at least 24 hours. Please do not give children fever-reducing medication and then send them to school.

The Ellsworth Gift Box Program will serve families living within the geographic area of the Ellsworth School District. This program is a result of many community volunteers who have committed their time and energy to help families during the holidays. The Ellsworth School Foundation and Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services will aid the program.
Sponsors Needed
Individuals or groups who would like to sponsor a family are encouraged to fill out the form (which can be found to the right) or at the Ellsworth Public Library and return it to the program coordinators by fax, mail, or email (EllsworthGiftBoxProgram@gmail.com). Any monetary donations should be made to the Ellsworth School Foundation/Gift Box Program. We already have 30-plus families who have applied for 2023, and we usually serve 70-80 families.
Applications for Assistance are Available
Families/Individuals who would like to be sponsored should fill out an application (which can be found to the right) or be available at any district building. Applications should be returned no later than November 9th to the program to allow time to be matched with a sponsor.
