👶✨ Learning Through Connection in Child Development!
Mrs. Matzek's Child Development students have been visiting 4YK classrooms throughout the quarter, spending time engaging with younger children while exploring different areas of child development. 🧸📚
These visits provide a hands-on opportunity for our students to observe and interact with children at various ages and stages, deepening their understanding of growth, learning, and development. 💡❤️
It’s been such a rewarding experience for everyone involved—learning through play and connection!

🪂 Science in Action with Mrs. Gray’s 5th Graders!
Mrs. Gray’s fifth graders are putting their engineering skills to the test by designing parachutes with different variables to explore which one creates the most drag! 🧠💡
This hands-on experiment encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a whole lot of fun as students learn about forces and motion.

🩺 A Message from the School Nurse 🩺
We want to remind families about important guidelines to help keep everyone healthy this season:
🌡️ Fever: If your child has a fever of 100.0°F or higher, they should remain at home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
🤢 Vomiting or Diarrhea: If your child experiences vomiting or excessive diarrhea (three or more episodes within 24 hours), they can return to school once they have been free of symptoms for 24 hours.
We’ve been seeing cases of mono, gastroenteritis (stomach flu), Influenza A, strep throat, and respiratory illnesses such as croup and bronchitis.
🔍 Please monitor your student’s health closely before sending them to school. If they are feeling unwell with symptoms like fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, allow them to recover at home to help reduce the spread of illness within our buildings.
Your efforts make a big difference in keeping everyone well. Thank you for your cooperation and care!

🚨 Content Warning: Dissection Photos Ahead 🚨
This post contains details and photos of an anatomy dissection activity that may not be suitable for everyone.
🔬🫀 Hands-On Learning in Anatomy & Physiology!
Mrs. Kleckers' Anatomy and Physiology students had an unforgettable experience dissecting deer hearts donated by our amazing community members! This hands-on activity allowed students to identify heart structures and trace the pathway of blood flow through the heart. 🩸
To add to the excitement, one student even brought in a cow heart and lung for dissection, providing an incredible opportunity to explore even more anatomy! 🐄🫁
Thank you to everyone who made this learning experience possible—our students had a blast! 👏

🎁🎄 When the principal is away... the teachers will play! 🎄🎁
The high school staff got into the holiday spirit in the most festive way possible! While Mr. Nehls was out, they turned his office into a gift-wrapped masterpiece. 🎅✨ From the desk to the chair to every little detail, it's all decked out in shiny paper and bows! 🎀
We can't wait to see his reaction when he "unwraps" his office! 😄
