EMS pent 4 babies have been delivered!
This group will have the babies until Friday during class. Babies will be going into daycare each morning & brought to FACS class each day.
As I am sure many already know, the school districtโs facility referendum passed with 1463 votes in favor of the referendum and 1341 votes opposed at the April 2nd election.
The process of bringing referendums to the voters is something that we take very seriously. This referendum was the result of a months-long facility study that identified our most pressing needs within the buildings and within our curriculum. Along with this, we conducted a community survey that provided us with valuable information about the general feelings of our community regarding various projects.
At the core of our processes is the fundamental goal to bring only what we feel is truly needed in order to provide the support of our operations and to continue to provide quality facilities for our students, staff, and community. All of this information together ultimately led to the project brought to the district residents that we felt best represented what the public was most likely to support.
The second phase of our work will now begin as our staff, architects, construction managers, and community partners work to finalize the plans over the coming months. We will be sure to provide everyone with updates on our progress as we move toward the first construction projects beginning in the late spring of 2025.
We are truly looking forward to the day that these projects are completed and we will work hard to be sure the projects are a source of pride for our community. Thank you to all of our residents for your continued interest in our schools and dedication to making our schools the best they can be!

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, the Ellsworth Community School District Board of Education selected three finalists for the position of superintendent following the announcement of Superintendent Barry Cain's retirement.
Final interviews will be conducted on Tuesday, April 16th with the new person assuming the role of superintendent on July 1, 2024.

The high schoolโs 1975 Career and Technical Education classrooms do not reflect modern work settings or allow for high-quality, real-world experiences for students.
The past two school years have been spent researching CTE programs and visiting other high schools to see the model of โstudent-led productionโ in which students are working together in a business model to provide a high-quality, hands-on experience for all students involved, no matter their post-high school plans.
The proposed remodel and expansion creates a centralized, collaborative CTE area, preparing Ellsworth students for their future careers as well as promoting partnerships with many manufacturers and businesses that will provide our economy with a quality workforce.
