In honor of Earth Day, Mrs. Nyseth's class rolled up their sleeves and helped make a difference around the middle school! Students cleaned up trash around the campus and created fun, earth-friendly activities to celebrate our amazing planet. Way to go, Panthers! 🌱♻️

Middle School Cheerleading Tryouts — We’re Ready to Shine! We’re so excited to officially launch our Fall Middle School Cheerleading Squad and we’re looking for spirited, positive, and enthusiastic students to join the team! On Thursday, March 27, our 8th-grade students had the powerful opportunity to hear from Elly Sternberg, the granddaughter of two Holocaust survivors. Elly shared the story of her grandparents, Esther and Berek Latarus-Polish Jews from Lodz, Poland, who both survived the Lodz Ghetto and were later transported to the Auschwitz concentration camp. This impactful presentation was made possible thanks to the support of the Ellsworth Middle School Parents’ Club and the ongoing efforts of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas.

KiapTUWish Chapter of Trout Unlimited's is again holding a STREAM Girls event on May 17th for girls in grades 6-8. This is a day of fun on the Rush River in Ellsworth, WI at the beautiful Ellsworth Rod & Gun Club grounds. Students will learn about cold water ecology, how to cast a fly rod and tie a fishing fly. In stream activities include scooping up & identifying macroinvertebrates, calculating the river’s velocity and more! Lunch & snacks along with all waders, fly tying materials and fly rods will be provided. The students end the day fly fishing with their own personal, experienced fly-fishing guide. No fly-fishing experience is necessary. Completion earns the students a STREAM Girls patch. Held rain or shine!
