On October 19, the Ellsworth Hearts & Minds group completed another successful shipment of school supplies and comfort items to Ukraine, this time to a school in Radomyshl', located in the region of Zhytomyr Oblast in north-central Ukraine, about 70 miles west of Kyiv. After months of dedicated fundraising, the Hearts & Minds students raised enough money to purchase the supplies and cover shipping costs. With help from Day of Service volunteers, supplies were packaged. With the help of Ryan, my dad, Tom Benson, and his wife, Valentyna—who is from Radomyshl—19 boxes were labeled and shipped, each one carrying the compassion, encouragement, and hope of an entire school community reaching across the world.
Mr. Benson’s High School Outdoor Adventure class hit the trails at Willow River State Park in Hudson, WI! 🥾🌲 It’s always nice to take a break from the school day, enjoy the fresh air and nature, and make some great memories with classmates. What a perfect day to explore the outdoors!

We did our seasoning roast last week on the new coffee roaster! There are just a few bugs to work out, but we’re getting one step closer to production.

With an incredible runner-up finish at the sectional meet this past weekend, the Panthers have earned their spot at the WIAA State Cross Country Championship.
We’re so proud of this hardworking group and can’t wait to cheer them on at state! 🐾 #PantherPride

4 EHS students attended Teach Day at UW–Stout last week to explore potential teaching career paths in the seven educational fields offered at the university.
During the event, students connected with current college students, participated in hands-on activities related to their areas of interest, toured the campus, and heard from a panel of education majors who shared their experiences in the program.

Mr. Manosky recently launched a new excel program at Ellsworth High School to encourage more girls to get involved in tech and trades. Sophomore Grace Nelson is leading the way in this pilot program, learning welding skills and inspiring others to give it a try.
They’re also putting our new welding booths—part of the recent CTE renovation—to great use!
We’re excited to see this program grow and to watch more young women explore hands-on, technical careers. 💜 #PantherPride #WomenInWelding

💜 Last week, Ellsworth High School hosted a blood drive and once again, our students, staff, and community members showed up in an incredible way! It’s always inspiring to see so many people giving back to such an important cause.

Last week we proudly held the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the renovations at Ellsworth Middle School and High School! 🏫✨ It’s amazing to see the project nearly complete with just a few finishing touches left and we couldn’t be more proud of how everything has turned out. These updates are an investment in the future of our students and will provide incredible opportunities for years to come. 💜🐾
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible, including our school board members, administrators, staff, the Ellsworth Chamber ambassadors and members, community members, Kraus-Anderson, LHB, LHI, OEM, Pierce County Board and the Village of Ellsworth. Last Tuesday EHS held their annual Day of Service. All 9th, 10th and 12th graders reported to 34 sites in the community and surrounding areas. Some of the sites included Camp Pepin, Pierce County Fairgrounds, Habitat for Humanity, Elsie’s Barnyard, and highway clean up. A number of students also worked with community members on service learning capstone projects and helped with garbage clean up. Some painted benches at Summit Park while others worked on the ballfields at Brown Field in Hager City. We are so grateful to all of our community partners for their help with projects and encouraging our students in making connections and learning new skills!

☀️ The Class of 2026 kicked off their last EHS Homecoming Week with Senior Sunrise this morning. At 6:45 am they gathered on the football field with coffee, juice, and donuts to watch the sunrise together.
