March
is Youth Art Month and every year the Ellsworth School District art
teachers each select 3 pieces of artwork to send to Madison to be
displayed in the state capitol. From this show 42 pieces are chosen
for the W.T. Graham Award and "Sports of Many Kinds" project was one
of them. The project was a still-life composition, mixed media, oil
pastels and watercolor. This award is unique in that it is not just
the student who is honored; the teacher also receives a framed
certificate, as does the school.
