Hello Everyone!
My name is Linda Warner. I am a speech and language therapist, mom, nature enthusiast, and artist. I live in Ellsworth with my Husband - Will, Daughter - Ingrid (3), Son - Hugo (7 months), Dog - Sonic, and Cat - Tails. When I am not working with children on speech and language skills, I enjoy cooking, relaxing with my family and friends, interior design, reading, going for hikes, and searching for wild, edible plants in the woods.
I received training in speech therapy at The University of Wisconsin - River Falls. I received a bachelor's degree in communicative disorders in 2012 and a master's in education for speech and language pathology in 2014. I am passionate about every aspect of communication! Working with children in the Ellsworth School District is my dream job. I am thankful everyday for the opportunity to help children learn and grow.
I work with children who need help for speech sound production skills (articulation), language skills (vocabulary, grammar, language understanding), social language skills (perspective-taking, empathy, emotional communication, social problem solving), cognitive-linguistic skills (sequencing, problem solving, cause and effect), fluency, and voice disorders. I work with children ages 3 - 5 at Lindgren Early Learning Center, and children in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade at Hillcrest Elementary. I am so excited for everyone to come together at Ellsworth Elementary School in January 2018!
I believe it is my calling in life to help children learn valuable commuication skills that will help them blossom into adults who can lead happy and sucessful lives in our community.
