I am originally from the small town of Stanley, WI, which is about an hour northeast of Eau Claire. From there, I went to college at UW-River Falls and graduated in 2002. I worked for Panther Kids Club for a while at Hillcrest Elementary and was a Special Education aide there as well. From 2007-2009, I had some part-time teaching positions ranging from First Grade to Third Grade. I finally got my own classroom in 2009!! I taught First Grade for my first three years before deciding to make the move to Fifth Grade. I absolutely love the middle school for so many positive reasons and am looking forward to another great year!
I have been married for 16 years to my husband, Randy. We have three beautiful daughters: Emma (12), Alayna (8), and Lydia (6). The three of them keep us very busy! Although we did not go on any large vacations, I have had quite the exciting summer. As a family, we went camping, visited family around the Midwest, and did lots of swimming! I have also started my master’s program this summer in Literacy Education along with all three of the other fifth grade teachers. Back to school I go!
